STOA #2| Your Phone destroyed your hormone system.

How to fix it and make it work for you.

Welcome to the Brotherhood!🙏🏼

Now if you subscribed to this list, Congratulations cause you are part of the top 1% now, who try to improve themselves continuously mentally as much as physically.🏆

However, I told you in the last newsletter, how your phone destroyed your hormone system but not how to fix it.

I am sure you’ve already realized that your phone does indeed do harm to you, your mental health, your focus, and your daily routine.

Otherwise you wouldn’t read this newsletter.

"It's a social-validation feedback loop... you're exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology. The inventors, creators … me, Mark [Zuckerberg], … Kevin Systrom on Instagram, it's all of these people {That} understood this consciously. And we did it anyway."

- Sean Parker; Founding president and stakeholder of Facebook

Now how do you fix your mind?

How do you go back towards a fulfilled life?

The answer is:🥁

Find something that it is worth quitting for. 💎

What does that mean, you think?🤔

You are probably quite sure, that there are better things to do than to look at dancing TikTok Th*ts but what would you exactly do right now if you would put your phone away, that would keep you occupied/entertained for the next hours until you go to sleep? And what about the day after? Your weekend?

Now what I am trying to explain to you is to find something. May it be a goal, a hobby, or a book. Something that makes you want to put your phone away. Something, that you could spend hours with if you’re not using your phone.

Now you know the problem but how do you start?🧐

Start simple. Start small. It doesn’t even need to be a goal. It could just be a hobby or a book.📚

Here are some suggestions for books.

(These are no affiliate links; I earn nothing with this!)

How to win friends & influence people

Atomic Habits

How to think like a roman emperor. the stoic philosophy of Marcus Aurelius

These are all non-fictional books, teaching you a lot about habits, self-improvement and earning money.

There are enough things to try out.

That business model you find interesting? Try it!

That goal, that seems unachievable? Try it!

That one skill you wanted to learn? Try it!

Meals, Hobbies, places, an online shop, a service, an agency, a product, an app, a theme page, a challenge.

All these things to try and your most interesting way to spend your time is on Reels & TikToks.

This principle is the exact reason why self-improvement gurus tell you to “dream big”.

If there is nothing spectacular to work towards, you will have no reason to work at all.

Cheers!
