STOA| Your phone destroyed your hormone system

How do you fix it?

Welcome to the Brotherhood!🙏🏼

Now if you subscribed to this list, Congratulations cause you are part of the top 1% now, who try to improve themselves continuously mentally as much as physically.

However, I told you to get off your phone but never explained why.

"Social media's design, with its constant notifications, likes, and scrolling feeds, can lead to an overstimulation of our brain's reward system, causing an overproduction of dopamine, which can contribute to addictive behaviors and a constant need for digital validation."

So How does your phone even destroy your hormones?

I am sure you frequently wonder:

  1. “Why am I so tired?” ✅

  2. “Where should I even start?” ✅

  3. “Why do I achieve nothing at all?” ✅

Now the reason for that is not lack of sleep or warm showers but your phone giving you too much dopamine.

"Dopamine-driven feedback loops, such as those perpetuated by social media, can create a cycle of instant gratification and addiction that can be challenging to break. It's like a slot machine in your pocket, rewarding you with a variable schedule of social validation."

- Tristan Harris, co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology

Dopamine is a joy hormone, which is set free whenever achievements are made, however these achievements are also “rewards” like a steak, unhealthy food, m@sturb@tion AND entertainment (Tiktok/Instagram) of which the last two are frequently triggered by your phone. 🏅

Now if your Dopamine hormones are frequently used up by entertainment, m@sturb@tion and cheap food, you’ve got many “achievements” that signal your brain success.

Now why should you work hard if you had such a successful day already? 🏆

That is the question your mind asks itself whenever you’re trying to escape your comfort zone and progress in life.

Cheers.
