Introduction
The danger of self-improvement

We’re going to take a different angle on shadow work today and talk about two main problems with self-improvement.

The longer you’re in the space, the more you can improve. But the other half of the picture is self-healing and self-acceptance, and if you never focus on this something’s always going to be off.

There is no upper limit to the amount of self-improvement or self-acceptance, but you need to understand why this self-acceptance is hard.

lesson 1
Suppression

Suppression is one of the most common ones where we push down negative thoughts, negative beliefs, negative patterns, and instead of letting go of them we push them down and say nope not today buddy not gonna look at that.

We suppress uncomfortable emotions, views of ourselves, beliefs, self-doubts, and when it stinks up our own internal State, we have to take it out.

This is what is called letting go, and it's hard for Men to do because they tend to suppress a lot more.

Lesson 2
Shadow work

Escapes are probably the most common way people deal with their problems.

You can use video games, food, drinking, and gossip magazines to escape from your problems, but you have to be prepared for a self-growth journey.

Most people don't realize that TV is another form of projection.

Once you know these three, you can start linking them up and find out which one you use more frequently.

If you do that every time one of those three stories comes up, you will learn to let go.

Lesson 3
Techniques

Here are 3 techniques to help you develop more self-acceptance and self-healing: Ask yourself the question what's the best thing about yourself?

  1. Keep a journal, ask yourself what you are avoiding, and what advice would you give someone else in your exact same situation? This will help you to start putting your self-healing energy into action.

  2. A mindfulness meditation practice gives you a 10 boost in your patience, your compassion, your love and research will actually confirm that if you did 12 minutes a day for eight weeks, your fear center decreased by up to 25 percent.

  3. I have found the most benefit from a type of Shadow work I call Inner Shadow Shifting, and it is based on the foundations of Nlp neuro-linguistic programming. It unlocks the positive intent behind seemingly negative actions or stories that are deep rooted in your subconscious.
You will need to have the first three weeks self improvement, last three weeks self-healing. Remember to let go and allow confidence to come in to your life.

Conclusion

Shadow work is the most efficient way of self-improvement although it may require less work.

You need to realize that most of the time in life, 20% of our actions lead to 80% of our outcomes. Now shadow work is the process of filtering exactly these 20% out of the rest.
